Why do gas prices change every week in the Philippines?
The Philippines follows a weekly oil price adjustment cycle. Oil companies adjust pump prices every Tuesday based on global crude oil movements, the peso-dollar exchange rate, and the DOE (Department of Energy) advisory.
What affects fuel prices in Metro Manila?
Fuel prices are influenced by global crude oil prices (Dubai benchmark), the PHP-USD exchange rate, government taxes (excise + VAT), and individual oil company pricing. Prices can also vary between stations of the same brand.
